Abstract

The impetus for this article stems from three interwoven processes: the consolidation of oligarchic governance, the emergence of extended family dynasties and new aristocracies within oligarchic systems, and the neognostic concepts of blood and capital and their metamorphosis. The article focuses on archontic neognosticism, its connections with the society of the spectacle, and interrelationships between the surveillance society and the establishment of new internal watchers – egregors. An important feature of the article is its deliberate distancing from racist, nationalist, and even fascist ideas that lack a direct connection to the formation of new oligarchic dynasties and their associated mythology. Instead, the article focuses on the emergence of the US and Russian oligarchies and their relationship to irrational discourses and practices.
