Colophon of the article / author information
Authors should present the following information together with the text in English and Lithuanian: place of work and its address, occupational title, educational degree and contact information (phone and e-mail). This information should be indicated on the left side of the first page. In the published article, the dates of its submission to the Editorial Board and of the final acceptance for publishing should be indicated together with the publication‘s title, issue number and publishing year and, on the last page, the date of the article’s submission .
Composition of the article
The article should start with the author information (see above), summary in English, key words followed by the text of the article (it should contain component parts which are requisites for a research work: introduction, indication of the research object and goal, scope of previous research, research methodology, results, conclusions or summing-up and reference list and literature). The article should end with a summary (after conclusions) with the indication of the title and the author‘s name as well as key-words in English. The author‘s information is linked to the information at ORCID.
The submission is appraised according to its conformance to the journal’s spectrum of issues by taking into account aspects of the currency and originality of the research, level of author‘s arguing, scholarly level of the language and conformance of sources to the article‘s topic.
The size of a submission should not exceed 1 author‘s sheet (40,000 characters) including all elements of the text. The number of characters of the summary in English is limited to 2,000 characters and that of the summary in Lithuanian, to 600 characters. The size of other types of publications should not exceed 0.5 author‘s sheet (20,000 characters). In exceptional cases, the Editorial Board may increase the indicators for the size of the text, in particular in case of a research study.
The journal is published in English and Lithuanian. The authors may submit articles in other languages as well (the final decision shall be taken by the Editorial Board). The sources should be presented in the original language and, in some cases, should be translated into Lithuanian. The summaries should be presented in English.
Requirements for texts
The Editorial Board should be submitted with 1 copy of the text signed by the author in the Word format (doc.); the main font should be Times New Roman. The size should be 12 points and the spacing, 1.5 points.
Submission of the text
The article’s author is required to register on the journal’s Website here. It will allow loading the manuscript copy. When registering, it is important to indicate the precise e-mail, at which the author will receive information about the final decision after the review.
Illustrations, graphic material or maps should be of sufficient quality and clearly described with the indication of their authors and sources.
Sources and literature should be indicated after the article by using the Insert Footnote option; the font size should be 10 points.
All articles are reviewed by two reviewers: a member of the Editorial Board and an appointed expert representing the appropriate domain. Articles not satisfying the above-described requirements are not accepted. An author who is a registered user is given permission to amend the text in line with the reviewers‘ comments.
Presentation of sources within the article
When citing a book, the author‘s surname and the first letter of the first name should be written in vertical font; the title of the publication, in italic (without quotes); and the place of publication (name of the city), publisher, year, volume (fascicle or issue) and pages of the cited text, in vertical font. When citing an article, the title of the article followed by a dot should be indicated in vertical font after the author‘s surname followed by the title of the publication containing the article in italic and other information in vertical font. The compiler of the publication and editor should follow the title of the publication (followed by a dot) in vertical font. The title of the manuscript copy of the work should be written in vertical font. The title of the archives or manuscript collection should be written in italic; abbreviations of holdings, inventories, records, sheets (pages), in vertical font. The title of the publication, archives or manuscript collection may be abbreviated in line with the established rules; abbreviations should be written in italic.
After the footnote with extensive information about the publication or archive, some information within the following footnote may be omitted or the reference Ibid. may be given in italic.
If necessary, authors may consult the Editorial Board or refer to the established standards for bibliographic referencing LST ISO 690 and LST ISO 690-2.
