Abstract

The review examines the solo exhibition “Mèno forte” (Listen Downstream) by the artist, art historian and photographer Malvina Jelinskaitė, which ran from January 22 to February 22, 2025 at Prospekto Gallery (Gedimino Ave. 43, Vilnius), in particular, the writing of everyday life, which is one of the main metaphors of the exhibition. The author of the review highlights the conceptual features of Jelinskaitė's photographic method and photographs, using Ludwig Wittgenstein's theory of language-games and his philosophy of psychology. They suggest that in its connection to the philosophy of language, Jelinskaitė's method is rather conceptual and not illustrative.
